There’s something about a quiet morning on the homestead that just feels like a fresh start. The light comes in a little softer, the coffee tastes a little better, and there’s this gentle reminder that simple things really are enough. That’s exactly where this Good Morning Glow Granola fits in for me—it’s simple, nourishing, and just a little bit special.

I’ve found myself leaning more and more into what I like to call an “80/20” way of eating. Not perfection, not restriction—just a steady rhythm of choosing foods that fuel our bodies well most of the time, while still leaving room for fun, comfort, and the occasional treat. This granola is one of those recipes that falls beautifully into the “good for you” side of that balance… but still feels like something you’d look forward to eating.
It starts with good old-fashioned oats—the kind that have been around forever and for good reason. They’re hearty, filling, and packed with fiber that helps keep you satisfied and steady through the morning. Around here, when there’s work to be done outside, that kind of fuel matters.
Then come the pecans, which feel right at home in a Southern kitchen, however you may choose to pronounce them! They add that rich, buttery crunch, along with healthy fats that help keep you going. And the pumpkin seeds tucked in there bring a little extra texture, plus a boost of minerals that our bodies quietly thank us for.
For sweetness, I love using maple syrup and coconut sugar. There’s something comforting about knowing exactly where that sweetness comes from—nothing artificial, just simple, natural ingredients. The maple syrup adds a warm depth, while the coconut sugar gives it that hint of caramel-like richness. I used a vanilla coconut sugar here, which adds just a touch of extra coziness, but regular works just as beautifully.

A sprinkle of cinnamon and a pinch of salt might seem small, but they’re what bring everything together. The cinnamon adds warmth, and the salt balances the sweetness in that way that makes you go back for just one more handful.
And then there are the dried blueberries—little bursts of sweetness scattered throughout. They add a pop of flavor and a bit of brightness that makes the whole mix feel cheerful!
One of the things I love most about this granola is just how practical it is for homestead life. You can make a big batch, tuck it into an airtight container, and have something ready to go for days (sometimes longer, depending on how quickly it disappears). It’s the kind of pantry staple that makes busy mornings and days feel a little more manageable.
And the ways to use it? Just about endless.
Layer it into a yogurt parfait when you want something that feels a little special. Sprinkle it over apple slices with peanut butter for an easy afternoon snack. Add it on top of oatmeal for extra texture and flavor. I’ve even put it on toast with peanut butter, and it turns something simple into something really satisfying.

Of course, there’s always the classic way too—a bowl of granola with a splash of milk. Simple, filling, and just right. Oh, and don’t forget, a handful makes a great snack also!
This granola has quietly found its place in our kitchen, and I don’t see it going anywhere anytime soon. It’s nothing fancy, and it doesn’t try to be—it’s just simple, good food made with care. The kind of thing that fits right into the life we’re building… one centered on nourishing our bodies, keeping things simple, and being thankful for all the ways God provides.
Lord Bless You, Michelle
