Warm Cinnamon Apples

Warm tender apples cooked in a cast iron skillet with butter, vanilla coconut sugar, and cinnamon-simple, easy, and full of cozy comfort in every bite.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 Medium Apples, sliced
  • 3 T Butter
  • 3 T Vanilla coconut sugar You can use coconut sugar or brown sugar
  • 2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice
  • Sprinkle of grated nutmeg You can also use ground nutmeg

Method
 

  1. Melt butter in a skillet, add apples, and cook for a few minutes. Stir in vanilla, coconut sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, and nutmeg. Cook until soft and syrupy. Serve warm. Great on ice cream, pancakes, waffles, pound cake, and even rice cakes.
